ITINERARY

07:30 hrs	Guest Check-in at Shangri-La Hotel. (Krungthep Wing Lobby)
08:00 hrs	Depart Bangkok by air-conditioned coach visit Ayutthaya Ancient Capital. Ayutthaya, located 76 kms. north of Bangkok. It was one of Indo-China’s most prosperous cities and is one of Thailand’s major historical attractions. The grandeur of Ayutthaya is reflected by numerous magnificent structures and ruins concentrated in and around the city island surrounded by the Chao Phraya, Pa Sak and Lop Buri Rivers. The area, well conserved as a historical park, has been included in UNESCO’s list of World Heritage since 13 December 1991. Ayutthaya covers an area of 2,556 square kilometres.
09:15 hrs	Visit Bang Pa-In Palace - A popular Summer retreat for Thai King’s, this palace includes one of the most photographed buildings in the Kingdom - a charming Thai pavilion built over a pond.
10:30 hrs	Visit Wat Yai Chaimongkol - This monastery was constructed in the reign of King U-Thong. King Naresuan the Great commanded the pagoda built to celebrate the victory of his single-handed combat on elephant back. He wanted the huge construction to follow in the example of the large pagoda of Wat Phukhao Thong, thus naming it Phra Chedi Chaiyamongkol.
11:00 hrs	Visit Vihara Phra Mongkol Bopit - The modern building houses a huge seated Buddha Image dating from the 15th century. Visit Wat Phra Si Sanphet - The largest temple complex in Ayutthaya, now in ruins, boasts striking architecture and fascinating images of a once great city.
12:00 hrs	Visit Wat Chai Watanaram - Another striking monastery located to the west of the Island City. King Prasat Thong commanded it to be built. Although now abandoned, the existing Main Prang and surrounding pagodas show the grandeur and past golry of this monument.
13:00 hrs	Welcome onboard the luxurious cruiser ’Horizon’. Superb buffet lunch which includes a delightful variety of oriental and western cuisines will be served. In the meantime, you will relax and enjoy the fascinating scenery on the River of Kings. The boat will pass Pathumthani and Nonthaburi province before reaching Bangkok City.
15:00 hrs	Coffee break will be served while you enjoy the enchanting sight along the river banks such as the Royal Barges, Thammasart University, the Royal Grand Palace and the graceful Temple Of Dawn.
